Experienced. Passionate. Balanced.
HELLO FELLOW VOTERS,
My name is Kat Rohlf and I am running for the Truckee Tahoe Airport Board. I am passionate about our community. Since moving here nearly 20 years ago, I have spent much of my free time volunteering with various organizations in the region, including the school district, the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation and other philanthropic boards.
I have been involved with the Airport for the past 7 years in a variety of roles; currently I am serving as board chair. In that time my eyes have been opened. What started as a desire to have a voice against the noise and annoyance of overhead flights has settled into a balanced view of the airport and its role in our community.
One of my fellow ACAT members is a pilot and he used to remind us that “pilots are members of the community too.” It’s not us versus them. Yes, the airport collects a large amount of tax dollars from homeowners, but the airport is committed to using those dollars wisely and to donating a lot of it back to the community in the form of grants, rent offsets, storage space for nonprofits, meeting space, fuel reduction, STEAM support, and open space. We are also bound by our mission statement to keep safety standards high and to provide high quality services and facilities.
My experience has brought me to a point where I am able to serve as a bridge between the community and the aviators who use the airport. I would be honored to keep working on these goals for another four years and continue this important work on the Airport Board. Please sign up below to show your support.

“In 2020 Kathryn Rohlf was asked to assist her community yet again by serving on the Truckee Tahoe Airport District Board of Directors. She graciously accepted the position and has proven again that she is ‘all in’ for this community. Having served on the TTAD board with Kat I was immediately impressed with her community mindfulness. In addition to being an exceptional steward of TTAD resources, she makes thoughtful, reasonable, balanced decisions for the Truckee Tahoe Airport District and the communities it serves.”
